Yes we can!
That is the short answer!
The devil is in the details they say.
So the key to this being successful is organization!! Many customers have items going to a new residence, a storage, their mother's house, a consignment shop and dispose of somethings.
First, purge all you can ahead of time. If you have a junk pick up day in your area coming up, utilize this service. Ours only comes once a quarter, so you need to plan accordingly. You can also call charitable organizations who may be able to use the items. We collect items for Youth Build Louisville and take them to a needy client weekly. Verify the donation location will take the items, their hours to accept items and the process.
Second, verify the consignment shop will take your items, their hours to accept items and the process.
Third, LABEL EVERYTHING! I suggest a color coded system. Blue for new house, pink for storage, and so forth. Then post a legend at all the doorways. The truck will need to be loaded in the reverse order of delivery.
Next, work with your moving consultant to determine the most logical order for items to be delivered. First in = last off! You will need to take the route & distances, the volume of each category and the hours of operation for any commercial locations including storages.
If it is more than 1 truck of goods consider breaking the move into multiple days.
And at the unload, BE PRESENT! Not only physically, but mentally. Believe it or not, some people go in a room and close the door or get on the phone. The movers need to know where you want to put the goods!
It helps to label the rooms at the unload. Obviously, everyone knows what the kitchen looks like, but what if the house has a mother-in-law suite with a kitchenette? Family room vs den? Labeling the rooms and providing a layout saves time and money!
